This course is the first step toward certification in animal acupressure, led by a Nationally Certified Animal Acupressure Practitioner. It provides the essential knowledge and hands-on skills you need to safely and effectively support your cat’s health and wellbeing. In this course, you will learn: ✨ Foundations of acupressure & its benefits for cats ✨ Key feline anatomy & meridian systems for accurate point location ✨ Vital Substances, Zang-Fu organ theory, & their connection to overall wellness ✨ The bladder meridian, Source Points, & Alarm Points ✨ Assessment techniques: the Four Examinations, vitality rating, tongue, & pulse assessment ✨ Special point categories: Master, Influential, Connecting, & Jing-Well Points ✨ Basics of pathology & recognizing patterns of imbalance ✨ An introduction to photopuncture as a complementary tool You’ll also explore how acupressure can address common concerns such as allergies, digestive health, anxiety, and joint mobility. Feline hours may be combined with Canine Level I hours toward the NBCAAM Canine Board Exam. To qualify, completing our Feline Level I, Canine Level I, Level II, Level III, and 40 hours hands-on through our partner Northwest School of Animal Massage will bring you to approximately 226.5 hours.
