About Poll to Pastern

Established in 2019, we started with a focus on equine care, reflected in our name - "Poll" symbolizing the highest point on a horse, and "Pastern" representing the area just before the hoof. This signifies our commitment to caring for the entire body of the animal. As we grew, we expanded our services to include small animal care, ensuring that all animals in the Charlotte area can benefit from our preventive care options.

Apart from our beneficial sessions, we take pride in offering acupressure classes and clinics to educate animal owners. Our Nationally Certified Animal Acupressure Practitioners share valuable insights on acupressure, its numerous benefits, and how to apply pressure to specific points for optimal results. With a deep passion for animals, our practitioners create a calm and relaxing environment during every session, ensuring the best well-being options for all your  pets. Acupressure and Red Light Therapy are highly effective for both preventive and complementary care, making them excellent choices for your furry family members' overall health and happiness.

Meet Our Founder

Stephanie Pope, CEO

Stephanie's profound passion for horses began at a very young age, a love that has only grown stronger over the years. From the moment she first sat in a saddle, she knew that her life would revolve around these majestic creatures. It was her aunt who initially introduced her to the world of horses and taught her the art of Western riding, igniting a lifelong connection to these magnificent animals. In her younger days, Stephanie even dazzled audiences with her performances in Western shows, showcasing her skills in barrel racing, pole bending, and trail riding.

In 2015, Stephanie's dedication and hard work culminated in her magna cum laude graduation from the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a specialization in Equines. Throughout her academic journey, Stephanie relished the opportunity to work directly with horses, especially during her favorite class that involved training young horses from weanlings to two-year-olds. These hands-on experiences deepened her bond with these noble creatures and brought her immense satisfaction. During her time at the university, Stephanie also actively participated in agricultural clubs, such as Block and Bridle, Gator Collegiate Cattlewomen, and the Dairy Science Club, further immersing herself in the equine industry.

After college, Stephanie pursued her passion for horses by working as a wrangler on large ranches, where she realized the profound impact these animals had on her life. Fueled by the love, friendship, responsibility, confidence, trust, courage, and patience they had taught her, she felt compelled to give back. This led her to explore the world of animal acupressure, seeking to enhance the well-being of her four-legged companions. Stephanie dedicated herself to rigorous training and earned her 300-hour Equine Acupressure Practitioner Certification from the prestigious Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute. She is also nationally certified by the National Board of Certification of Animal Acupressure and Massage. Her commitment to holistic healing expanded as she obtained certification in Red Light Therapy for Animals. Furthermore, Stephanie completed the 300-hour Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner Certification, solidifying her expertise in caring for all animals.

Today, Stephanie not only provides individualized acupressure sessions for pets but also shares her extensive knowledge through educational clinics for horse owners and acupressure classes for dog owners. Her mission is to empower others with the understanding of these holistic modalities, ensuring the well-being and balance of all horses and pets in her care.

Stephanie's journey is a testament to the powerful bond between humans and animals and how passion, education, and real-world experiences can work together to create a harmonious and enriching life for both. With unwavering love for all creatures, Stephanie continues to make a positive impact in the lives of horses and pets, nurturing their health and happiness through the transformative power of acupressure and holistic healing.
